Job Overview

We run a commercial hood cleaning business. Every time a kitchen fries food, grease travels up the hood, through the ducts, and onto the roof fans. If that grease builds up, one flare-up on the grill can burn the whole building down. Our job is to prevent that. We scrape it, spray it with heavy degreaser, and power-wash the entire system down to bare metal so fire marshals and insurance inspectors sign off on it.

What the Job Actually Looks Like

  • Overnight Hours: Kitchens are cooking during the day, so we work when they’re closed—usually midnight to 6 AM and we service restaurants up to 1:30h of radius. You’ll be on a set schedule, but your days are open.
  • Hands-On Work: You’ll be wrapping equipment in plastic, climbing ladders onto roofs, handling pressure washers, going up and down the cooking equipment. Scraping/scrubbing hoods and filters.
  • Environment: Very relaxed and fun environment, but when its time to put in work, it has to be done.
  • Attention to Detail: When we leave, that kitchen needs to be spotless, polished, and ready for the morning prep team. No leftover water, no missed grease, no excuses. And it has to be left in a better condition than we found it.

What I Offer You I’ll teach you every part of the trade—you don't need experience, just a good attitude. If you show up reliably, pull your weight, and don't cut corners, and work hard, I'll pay you well, keep your schedule full, and give you room to step up into leading your own crew. This is a very demanding industry and you shouldn't be worried if you're going to have a job each day, because you definitely will since kitchens are always cooking and food is always making grease, that means it has to get cleaned every time.

If you're looking for a desk job, this isn't it. But if you like physical work, getting your hands dirty, and working with a small team that has your back, you'll do amazing here.

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
