Job Summary:
At SBS Support Inc., founded and operated by experienced caregivers, we are committed to providing exceptional support to a diverse range of clients including children, teens, and young adults with varying needs. Our clients may have cognitive or developmental challenges, physical disabilities, mental health issues, and more. We are seeking compassionate Support Workers to join our team, where you will contribute to our culturally rich All-Nations approach and make a significant difference in the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and assistance to clients in group homes and private residences, supporting their daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Administer medications and follow health care plans as prescribed by medical professionals.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support, understanding the social and economic challenges our clients and their families face.
  • Assist with meal preparation, maintaining dietary standards, and perform light housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe living environment.
  • Engage clients with culturally appropriate programs and traditions, respecting their individual backgrounds.

Requirements:

  • Experience in caregiving or home care is preferred, with a strong ability to empathize with and support diverse client needs.
  • Proficiency in handling medication administration and following health protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in providing support and care.
  • Willingness to receive training in specialized care techniques relevant to our client group.
  • Must pass a Child and Abuse Registry check and a Criminal Record Check.

Desirable Qualifications (Not Required):

  • First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • Training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI).
  • Access to a personal vehicle.
