Full job description

Electrical Business Development RepresentativeCommission-to-Salary Growth Track | Direct Owner Mentorship

Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, BC
Field-Based / Hybrid | Part-Time to Start | 15–20 Hours per Week

Build the book. Earn the base. Unlock the tools. Help build Zeus.

Zeus Electric & Controls Inc. is a fast-scaling electrical contractor serving residential, commercial, industrial and strata clients across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

Led by a Red Seal electrician and Class B FSR with more than 13 years of industry experience, Zeus is building a company capable of handling nearly every electrical challenge—from service calls, renovations and EV chargers to commercial construction, industrial troubleshooting, controls, commissioning and preventative maintenance.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial sales professional who wants to build a valuable territory—not wait for someone else to fill their calendar.

No company leads or existing client book are guaranteed at launch. You create the opportunities. Zeus provides the technical support, estimating, qualified field team and project-delivery strength needed to convert them into successful work.

You find the opportunity. Zeus brings the thunder.

Work Directly with the Owner

You will report directly to Zachary Kadyschuk, owner of Zeus Electric & Controls Inc., and work closely with him to grow the company.

This is direct access to the person building the business—not layers of management.

You will learn how Zeus:

  • Qualifies opportunities
  • Identifies profitable projects
  • Develops practical electrical solutions
  • Estimates and presents work
  • Negotiates and closes contracts
  • Converts individual projects into long-term accounts
  • Protects its reputation while scaling

The working model is simple: you bring market intelligence, relationships and momentum. The owner brings technical judgment, estimating support and decision-making authority. Together, you will pursue and develop opportunities more effectively than either could alone.

This is an opportunity to learn directly from an experienced electrical contractor while helping shape Zeus’s sales systems, relationships and future direction.

What Proven Earners Can UnlockBuild the book, and Zeus will invest in how you build it.

Representatives who achieve Zeus’s written performance, conduct and business-need standards may qualify for:

  • A company vehicle or approved vehicle program
  • A company phone
  • A company expense card for authorized business-development expenses
  • Increased access to Zeus-generated opportunities
  • Priority technical and estimating support
  • Expanded territory and account responsibility
  • Sales-leadership opportunities as the company grows
  • Transition to a salary-plus-commission compensation plan

These are serious tools for serious performers—not participation perks.

Eligibility considers collected gross profit, new-account development, pipeline accuracy, follow-up discipline, customer handoffs, collections, brand stewardship and actual territory requirements.

Any company vehicle, phone or expense card remains company property and is subject to written business-use, spending-approval, receipt, security and return policies.

A Major Strata and EV Opportunity

Strata electrification is one of Zeus’s highest-value growth lanes.

Many existing strata corporations with five or more lots in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley must obtain an Electrical Planning Report by December 31, 2026. Once a report is obtained or the deadline passes, strata councils must follow a formal process when owners request EV charging.

This is not a blanket requirement to install chargers. It is something more useful to a skilled salesperson: a legitimate opening for conversations about electrical capacity, owner demand, capital planning and long-term infrastructure.

We expect 2027 to create a strong follow-on market for:

  • Electrical-capacity assessments
  • EV Ready planning and qualified-provider coordination
  • Electric vehicle energy management systems
  • Communal and assigned-stall charging
  • Parkade distribution and EV-ready infrastructure
  • Service and transformer upgrades
  • Phased capital projects
  • Ongoing building maintenance

One strong property-management relationship can create opportunities across multiple buildings. One strata conversation can grow from planning into infrastructure, chargers, upgrades and recurring service.

We want someone who can find that opening, build trust and stay with the opportunity until it closes.

Compensation — Initial Builder Phase

This is a commission-based employee position with no fixed base salary during the Builder Phase.

  • 25% of commissionable gross profit on qualifying work you personally originate and close
  • 10% of commissionable gross profit on any Zeus overflow opportunity assigned to you
  • 27.5% on incremental self-generated commissionable gross profit above $400,000 in a rolling 12-month period
  • No preset commission cap
  • No guaranteed Zeus leads
  • Protected opportunity registration under the written commission plan
  • Formal performance reviews at 90 days and six months

Commission is earned proportionately as qualifying work is completed and the corresponding customer payment is collected.

Performance example: $20,000 in qualifying commissionable gross profit produces a $5,000 Builder Phase commission.

The complete gross-profit definition, lead-ownership rules, payment timing and treatment of cancellations will be provided in writing before employment begins.

All statutory wage, overtime, statutory-holiday and vacation-pay entitlements apply. Earnings will be reconciled each pay period in accordance with British Columbia employment standards.

Compensation Targets

These are performance illustrations, not guarantees:

  • $160,000 of self-generated collected gross profit produces $40,000 in Builder Phase commission.
  • $400,000 produces $100,000 before any applicable accelerator.
  • Actual earnings depend on qualifying sales, completed work and collected customer payments.

Earn the Full-Time Salary Track

You do not have to wait a full year. Reach the objective performance standard early and unlock the transition early.

The salary track is earned by producing:

  • $180,000 in qualifying collected gross profit within any rolling six-month period
  • At least three unrelated paying clients
  • No single client representing more than 50% of the result
  • At least 75% of the milestone from personally originated opportunities
  • Accurate CRM records and professional customer handoffs
  • Responsible pricing and collection performance
  • Strong stewardship of the Zeus name and reputation
  • No unauthorized discounts, schedules, scope commitments or technical promises

Once verified, Zeus will offer transition to the full-time salaried track:

  • $60,000 annual base salary
  • 12.5% of commissionable gross profit on self-generated opportunities
  • 7.5% of commissionable gross profit on Zeus-assigned opportunities
  • 15% on incremental self-generated commissionable gross profit above the annual target
  • Continued earnings growth without a preset commission cap
  • Increased access to Zeus opportunities as company capacity grows

A proven performer may request to remain on the commission-based plan.

Own the Zeus Image in the Market

You will become a visible representative of Zeus Electric & Controls Inc.

Every phone call, email, meeting, introduction, site visit and follow-up must strengthen the company’s image.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a polished, trustworthy and professional company image
  • Building relationships with property managers and property-management companies
  • Reaching strata managers, strata councils and building portfolios
  • Connecting with commercial property owners and business owners
  • Developing relationships with developers, investors and general contractors
  • Reaching prominent local professionals, executives, community leaders and influential decision-makers
  • Attending networking functions, property meetings and occasional evening strata meetings
  • Finding the correct decision-maker and creating a credible reason to meet
  • Using approved sales materials and company messaging
  • Keeping promises and following up consistently
  • Protecting confidential pricing, customer information and company strategy
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records, pipeline stages and next-action dates
  • Making only authorized pricing, scheduling and technical commitments

Zeus is looking for someone who can enter important rooms, communicate with confidence and leave the company’s reputation stronger than they found it.

Here Is the Map—You Build the Territory

Strong prospecting lanes include:

  • Strata: Property managers and councils → electrical planning → load management → infrastructure → chargers → recurring service
  • Commercial: Property owners and facility managers → maintenance → upgrades → tenant improvements → portfolio relationships
  • Construction: General contractors, developers, restoration companies and renovation firms
  • Industrial: Maintenance departments, plant operators and manufacturers needing troubleshooting, controls, commissioning or shutdown support
  • EV: Dealerships, fleet operators, charger providers and energy-industry partners
  • Professional networks: Investors, executives, engineers, real-estate professionals and community leaders
  • Referral partners: HVAC contractors, equipment vendors, inspectors and other property-service companies

The biggest opportunity is rarely one receptacle or one charger. The pie is becoming the trusted electrical partner for an entire property, portfolio, organization or professional network.

What You Will Do

  • Build and manage your own prospect list and pipeline
  • Prospect through phone, email, networking, referrals and field outreach
  • Identify decision-makers and uncover legitimate electrical needs
  • Qualify budget, authority, urgency and next steps
  • Report directly to the owner through regular pipeline reviews
  • Coordinate technical assessments with Zeus
  • Present approved proposals and follow up consistently
  • Develop repeat business and referral relationships
  • Hand won work cleanly to estimating, operations and field personnel
  • Gather useful market intelligence and report emerging opportunities
  • Protect Zeus’s pricing, reputation, customer relationships and safety standards

Technical scope, final pricing, scheduling and contractual commitments remain subject to Zeus approval.

What Zeus Provides

  • Direct mentorship and regular access to the company owner
  • Broad residential, commercial, industrial, strata and EV capabilities
  • Electrical-sales and service training
  • Technical and estimating support
  • Site-assessment assistance
  • Professional proposals and approved sales materials
  • CRM access and protected opportunity registration
  • Qualified electrical crews and project-delivery support
  • Clear pricing, scope and approval guardrails
  • Approved business-expense handling under written company policy
  • A 24-month workmanship warranty supporting Zeus’s completed work
  • A defined route from commission-based prospecting to salary, company resources and sales leadership

You May Be a Strong Fit If You

  • Can originate opportunities rather than relying entirely on assigned leads
  • Understand that personal conduct and presentation affect the company’s reputation
  • Are comfortable speaking with contractors, property managers, councils, executives and prominent decision-makers
  • Follow up consistently through longer sales cycles
  • Sell through credibility and problem-solving rather than pressure
  • Can manage multiple opportunities without losing important details
  • Communicate professionally by phone, email and in person
  • Can attend daytime appointments and occasional evening meetings
  • Have a valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation throughout the Lower Mainland
  • Are legally entitled to work in Canada

Electrical, construction, property-management, strata or technical-sales experience is preferred, but not mandatory. No electrical ticket is required. Zeus’s qualified team handles technical validation and final approval.

How to Apply

Apply directly through Indeed with your résumé and a short response answering:

  • Which Zeus customer segment would you pursue first, and why?
  • How would you build your first 25-account prospect list?
  • What previous result shows that you can open doors, follow through and close?
  • Why does working directly with the owner of a scaling company appeal to you?

If you need a guaranteed list of warm leads from day one, this is not the right position.

If you want to build something valuable, control your upside, learn directly from the owner and prove your way into a salaried position with serious company resources behind you, we want to hear from you.

Zeus Electric & Controls Inc. welcomes qualified applicants and will provide reasonable accommodation during the recruitment process.

Pay: $40,000.00-$500,000.00 per year
