The Job

Rise & Shine! As a Breakfast Attendant, you’re the key to ensuring our guests’ days are starting off right. While preparing and maintaining breakfast items, coffee and pastries, you’ll provide attentive and friendly service by welcoming them, answering their needs or special requests and even sharing professional and thoughtful conversation to make their morning experience memorable.

*This position is being posted to fill a current vacany in our organization.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and present a variety of breakfast items to ensure an inviting and enjoyable experience for every guest.
  • Set up and maintain the breakfast area, ensuring food, beverages, and supplies are fully stocked, fresh, and attractively displayed throughout service.
  • Greet guests warmly, offer assistance as needed, and respond promptly to questions or concerns to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming environment by wiping tables, clearing dishes, and monitoring overall dining area cleanliness.
  • Adhere to all food safety, health, and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with hotel and local regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of breakfast supplies and communicate any shortages or maintenance needs to the Supervisor.
  • At the end of service, properly clear, clean, and store all breakfast items, equipment, and materials according to operating standards.
  • Maintain an active and visual presence in the serving and dining areas, periodically checking in on guests and assisting where necessary
  • Ensure the dining area is reset, floors mopped, and trash receptacles are emptied in preparation for the next day’s service.

The above areas of responsibility are not all inclusive and may be amended from time to time.

Who We're Looking For

  • Completion of secondary school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to use sound judgement in day to day activities and decision making
  • Detail-oriented and organized, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Proactive and attentive, anticipating guest needs and responding promptly
  • Must possess the ability to communicate effectively within a diverse team environment
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multi-cultural environment with co-workers, managers, and guests
  • Must be flexible to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
