Full job description

TMC Weddings is seeking 2nd Photographers and 2nd Videographers to join our team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with lead creatives, capture unforgettable moments, and bring artistic visions to life through compelling visual storytelling. You will be instrumental in producing high-quality wedding videos and/or photos that preserve cherished memories for couples on their special day. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a keen eye for detail, and are eager to grow your skills in videography and/or photography, this position is perfect for you! This is a paid role committed to fostering your creative development and professional growth.

We are a very well-established company - with a great reputation, which is why we are seeking great communicators and talent. Winnipeg and surrounding residents only.

Mostly weekend bookings (Friday-Sunday), typically 4 hour days. Occasional weekday bookings. We go off of your availability. It can be fill in work for you, or just about every weekend if you are eager.

Pay is $60 per hour for 2nds.

2+ weddings experience is a must for our positions - please do not apply for this position without a minimum 2+ weddings.

You must have your own transportation and your own camera equipment.

Required Gear Kit – Please do not apply unless you have all the required equipment:

Photography:

Camera: Full frame DSLR or mirrorless Examples: 5D Mark iii, Nikon D800, Nikon D850 D750, Canon 5D, 6D Sony A9, A7R, A7, Sony a7r or equivalent/better

Minimum Backup Camera: Canon 60d T3i or equivalent/better

Lighting: Two Canon 480EX or equivalent/better, flash diffuser

Lenses: One sharp wide angle lens (24-70, 16-35 etc.), 70-200mm f2.8 and fast prime lens (example 85mm 1.4 and 1.2-1.8 for low light

Accessories: extra batteries, storage media, laptop, etc.

Videography:

Main Camera: DSLR or Mirrorless camera that shoots minimum 8bit, 1080x1920 at 60fps (i.e. Sony A7siii or Sony FX3, Canon R5)

Backup Camera: Sony A7m3 or Sony A7m4 Lighting: LED video light, flapjack light 5

Lenses: wide angle, semi-wide angle, telephoto lens, a macro lens (i.e. 24-70 & 70-200, a 90mm macro lens)

Stabiliser: a reliable stabiliser and knowledge of how to properly balance it (i.e. gimbal, high-end monopod, etc.)

Audio: lav mic, rode wireless mic, zoom, Tascam, digital voice recorder, one headphone male to RCA male cable, one adapter RCA female to 1/4 inch male, one RCA male to XLR male cable

Accessories: extra batteries, tripod, LED light for low light, storage media, laptop, etc.

You must have a proper portfolio. Not just IG.

NO EDITING IS REQUIRED. Uploading Raw footage only. You are able to still build your portfolio with us as well - one of the attractive keys to working with us.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead videographer and photographer in capturing stunning footage and images during wedding events, ensuring all key moments are documented with precision.
  • Operate professional video and photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and stabilization gear, to produce high-quality content.
  • Maintain equipment inventory, perform routine maintenance, and ensure all gear is ready for shoots.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure expectations are met or exceeded while adhering to project timelines.

Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to operate professional video cameras, DSLR or mirrorless cameras, lighting setups, and stabilization equipment.
  • A solid portfolio showcasing previous wedding videography or photography work that highlights your artistic eye and technical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of current trends in wedding videography and photography to deliver fresh and innovative content.
