Full job description

The Toronto Flyers Hockey Club is looking for an energetic and reliable In-Arena Announcer for our 2026–2027 home games at Paramount Ice in Thornhill.

This is a part-time weekend position, with home games taking place primarily on Saturday and Sunday evenings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Announcing starting lineups, goals, assists and penalties
  • Making game-day announcements and sponsor acknowledgements
  • Promoting contests, special events and team initiatives
  • Helping create an exciting atmosphere for players and fans
  • Working closely with the timekeeper and Toronto Flyers staff

Qualifications:

  • Confident, clear and enthusiastic speaking voice
  • Comfortable speaking live in front of a crowd
  • Reliable, punctual and professional
  • Able to follow a game script and think quickly
  • Knowledge of hockey is strongly preferred
  • Previous announcing, broadcasting or public-speaking experience is an asset, but not required

Position details:

  • Part-time, weekend game-day position
  • Saturday and Sunday evenings
  • Approximately 20 home games during the 2026–2027 season
  • Games are played at Paramount Ice in Thornhill
  • Most games begin at 7:45 PM
  • Compensation: $50 per game
