We are PLAY Hockey. Hockey is our passion, and we love helping young players reach their full potential. Our veteran team of professionals delivers camps, clinics, leagues, teams, tournaments, and international tours to markets across North America, as well as international tours to various European markets. We strive to make a difference every day, act with integrity, and always love the game.

Do you have a passion for Hockey? Play Hockey is seeking an outgoing, organized, motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join our team as a Portfolio Manager, Eastern Canada Female Hockey. This position reports to the Vice President, Female Hockey with regular collaboration across the Draftday Hockey and Play Hockey leadership teams.

This role oversees all female programming in Eastern Canada, including tournaments & events, spring teams, ID skates, and international programming. It requires a flexible schedule for weekend work, scouting, recruitment, sales calls, and event execution. This role requires a minimum of two in-office days per week and is located in Southern Ontario.

Responsibilities

Tournaments and Events

· Support promotion, registration growth and execution of female tournaments

· Build relationships with female hockey programs across Ontario/Eastern Canada

· Lead onsite operations for Spring tournaments and specialty events

· Support planning and delivery of the Pursuit of Excellence (POE) Camp and WSI

Spring Teams & Recruitment

· Scout at assigned tournaments and events

· Recruit players and communicate programming opportunities to families

· Build and finalize Spring Hockey rosters (Gold, Force, Rise)

· Manage jersey/apparel ordering and book practice ice

· Coordinate all local and travel events for teams and specialty programs

ID Skate & Specialty Programming

· Lead the annual December ID Skate with a target of 170+ participants

· Oversee evaluations, registrations, and invitation processes

· Support recruitment and coordination for WSI, Prospects Cup, and International Series

International Tours

· Scout, recruit, and form rosters for female tour teams

· Coordinate family communication, logistics, and pre-event preparation

Qualifications

● Passion and experience with Hockey is a must!

● Strong Sales track record required and previous Hockey Sales related experience

● Hockey network of organizations, teams, coaches and players

● Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

● Strong customer focus and results oriented personality

● Superior interpersonal and customer service skills to effectively build relationships

● Able to function as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment and able to work independently

● Strong time and self-management skills

● High propensity to learn, and an ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment

● Strong computer skills and proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.

● Hubspot experience is an asset

● Southern Ontario
