Full job description

We are currently hiring compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as Companions, providing non-medical support to seniors in their homes and within the community. This role focuses on enhancing quality of life through meaningful interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly companionship and conversation
  • Accompany clients on walks, outings, and appointments
  • Assist with light household tasks (meal prep, tidying, laundry)
  • Support with errands such as grocery shopping
  • Encourage engagement in hobbies and social activities
  • Ensure clients feel safe, comfortable, and respected at all times

What This Role Is NOT:

  • This is a strictly non-medical position

Qualifications:

  • Health Care Aide (HCA) or Recreation Assistant certificate
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Valid Food Safe certification
  • Caring, patient, and reliable personality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in senio and dementia care
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred
  • Ability to work independently while following care plans and instructions

Pay: $26.00-$29.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
