$14.09/heure + pourboires

Résumé : Le barman est chargé d'accueillir les clients, de prendre les commandes de boissons/repas, d'effectuer le mélange des ingrédients tels que liqueur, soda, eau et sucre pour la préparation des cocktails et autres boissons, de servir les bières et autres boissons et d'effectuer les transactions; communiquer les heures de ticket et les éventuels problèmes au responsable de service et aux serveurs le cas échéant; fournir la meilleure qualité de service aux clients et employés, en tout temps; exerce toutes les autres responsabilités selon les directives liées à l'activité ou confiées par la direction. Il s’agit d’un poste s syndiqué qui relève généralement du gérant du magasin, de l’assistant-gérant du magasin ou l’assistant directeur des opérations, suivant les exigences locales.

Fonctions essentielles

  • Accueille les clients et prend la commande de repas; donne des informations sur les produits et cherche des possibilités de faire de la « vente augmentée » de produits
  • Suit les recettes et/ou instructions relatives au produit pour le mélange des boissons
  • Encaisse les paiements et s'occupe de la caisse pour les boissons et/ou les repas servis, selon les politiques et procédures relatives au traitement des espèces, définies par l'entreprise, pour toutes les transactions; assure la sécurité de tous les fonds à la fin de chaque changement de quart
  • Applique les procédures de sensibilisation à l'alcool afin d'éviter tout enivrement et s'occupe des clients ivres
  • Applique l'ensemble des politiques et procédures liées au service à la clientèle HMS Host, aux boissons pour adultes et à la manipulation de l’argent
  • Vérifie que le bar est propre, désinfecté et approvisionné
  • Respecte l'ensemble des politiques et procédures de sécurité et de désinfection de l'entreprise
  • Effectuer toutes les autres tâches connexes assignées ou demandées par le superviseur immédiat.

Compétences minimales, connaissances, aptitudes et environnement de travail :

  • Doit respecter l'âge minimum défini par l'état pour la vente de boissons alcoolisées
  • Nécessite au moins 1 an d'expérience liée étroitement au service en bar, expérience professionnelle en restauration avec service important, restauration informelle et rapide, souhaitée
  • Nécessite des connaissances en matière de préparation, présentation des bières, vins et alcools, se tenir informé des nouvelles boissons et des modifications apportées à ces recettes
  • Capacité à communiquer avec le public et les collègues en étant amical, enthousiaste et ouvert
  • Capacité de parler, écrire et comprendre les instructions, correspondances brèves et documents de politique, et à converser facilement avec les clients
  • Capacité de soulever et/ou déplacer des objets pesant au maximum 18 kg (40 lb)
  • Nécessite la capacité de marcher, se pencher, de se tourner et de se tenir debout pour exécuter les tâches normales associées à ce poste
  • Expérience en manipulation de l’argent et en service à la clientèle souhaitée

Summary

$14.09/hour + tips

The Bartender is responsible for greeting customers, taking drink/food orders, mixing ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and sugar to prepare cocktails and other drinks, as well as serving beer and other beverages, and completing transactions; communicating ticket times and potential problems to the manager on duty and the servers as necessary; providing the highest quality of service to customers and associates at all times; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or General Manager depending up local requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Greets customers and takes food order; provides information about products and looks for opportunity to “up-sell” products
  • Follows recipes and/or product directions for mixing beverages
  • Collects payments and operates cash registers for drinks and/or food served following company established cash handling policies and procedures for all transactions; secures all monies at the end of each shift
  • Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and deals with intoxicated guests
  • Follows all HMSHost customer service, adult beverage and cash handling policies and procedures
  • Ensures a clean, sanitized and well stocked bar
  • Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Performs all other related duties assigned or requested by management.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment

  • Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
  • Requires at least 1 year of closely related bartending experience, work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Requires knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits as well as their preparation and presentation keeping updated on new and revised beverage recipes
  • Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
  • Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
  • Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Requires the ability to walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
  • Cash handling and customer service experience preferred
  • Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
