Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Full-Time Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency with sales technology. This role offers an opportunity to engage with customers, facilitate smooth transactions, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. Bilingual skills and experience in retail sales or merchandising are highly valued to enhance our diverse customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their shopping experience
  • Operate POS systems efficiently for cash, credit, and digital payments
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including counting change and balancing registers at shift end
  • Assist customers with product inquiries and provide product demos when applicable
  • Upsell relevant products and promote ongoing promotions or sales to maximize revenue
  • Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the sales floor is clean and inviting
  • Manage phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products or store policies
  • Support inventory management by restocking shelves and monitoring stock levels
  • Demonstrate effective time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities such as Spanish or other languages are a plus
  • Technical sales experience or familiarity with product demos is advantageous
  • Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in merchandising and cash handling
  • Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
  • Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse customers
  • Demonstrated ability to upsell products and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Reliable work ethic with good time management skills to meet store demands

Pay: $36.99-$38.99 per hour
