Full job description

We are seeking an experienced, skilled, and motivated bartender with extensive cocktail knowledge to join our team.

The Role:

  • Mix cocktails, classics, and custom, on- and off-menu.
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of classic cocktails and a good understanding of wine/beer/cider/liquor.
  • Have prior experience in cocktail bartending roles.
  • Maintain a friendly, approachable demeanor and work well within a team.
  • Provide exceptional bar service and table service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Take orders and deliver food and drink in a timely manner.
  • Prepare drinks to order as punched in by the service team.
  • Communicate daily specials and make recommendations to guests.
  • Cultivate a unique and memorable dining experience for our guests.
  • Handle cash and process payments.
  • Serve alcohol in accordance with Ontario Law.
  • Study to maintain strong product and menu knowledge.
  • Develop a rapport with frequent guests.

· Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.

· Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.

Who you are:

The ideal candidate for this position prioritizes both the satisfaction of team members and guests and has a solid background in hospitality leadership. The ideal applicant is equally process- and people-driven and has a talent for streamlining operations at all levels of the company. The following will be preferred qualifications:

  • Previous bartending experience in a high-volume cocktail bar environment
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails and wine
  • Smart Serve Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Oshawa, ON L1H 1B4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • serving: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Smart Serve (preferred)
