Alberta’s best Brewery & Restaurant group is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to oversee our culinary program and kitchen operations at Last Best Brewing & Distilling. We are a community driven craft brewery and restaurant, with a locally emphasized culinary vision. We are looking for an individual who thrives under pressure in a fast paced, but fun kitchen. The ability to plan, organize, communicate, and lead a large team through high volumes of business is essential to success in this position.We have an ever-evolving menu with rotating feature menus, seasonal menu changes, and weekly & daily specials. Creativity is encouraged from all staff members. In your role as Sous Chef, you will:

  • Report directly to the Executive Chef
  • Showcase your leadership skills; you are a natural at getting the very best from your team through coaching and development.
  • Initiate and co-develop new culinary products, refinements, and food showings.
  • Require a high level of business acumen, and proven strategies with how to properly manage and improve upon them.
  • Be well organized and respectful of routine driven processes.
  • Always consider the guest when suggesting or making changes to the culinary program.
  • Align with our community focus and our Mission, Vision, and Values as a grassroots company.
  • Bring 3+ years experience in a leadership role
