Sommaire du rôle
Le/la Conseiller(ère) aux ventes et au développement des affaires est le moteur de croissance de Kernel. Sa mission: développer de nouveaux comptes clients pour des mandats de recrutement. Il prospecte, décroche des rencontres de prise de mandat, et conclut de nouvelles ententes de service en tandem avec un Directeur de compte. Il ouvre les portes, il signe de nouveaux clients, puis il poursuit la chasse. Il ne fait pas de recrutement: son terrain de jeu, c'est le développement des affaires et la conclusion d'ententes.
Responsabilités principales
1. Prospection et développement de comptes
- Prospecter activement de nouveaux clients par téléphone auprès de décideurs (RH, directeurs, propriétaires d'entreprise)
- Identifier les entreprises ayant des besoins de recrutement actifs
- Qualifier rapidement chaque prospect: besoin réel, budget, décideur au bout du fil, urgence
2. Décrochage de rencontres de prise de mandat
- Convertir les conversations qualifiées en rencontres avec un Directeur de compte
- Planifier les rencontres et les confirmer pour limiter les absences
3. Conclusion d'ententes en tandem
- Mener la rencontre de prise de mandat avec le Directeur de compte
- Amener le client à confirmer le mandat et à officialiser l'entente de service
- Assurer une conclusion professionnelle qui reflète le positionnement premium de Kernel
4. Coordination et transfert
- Briefer le Directeur de compte avant chaque rencontre (contexte client, besoin, échanges préalables)
- Transférer proprement le mandat signé à l'équipe de recrutement (poste, attentes, urgence)
5. Suivi et relances
- Relancer les prospects tièdes et les rencontres reportées
- Gérer son propre pipeline de suivis pour ne rien échapper
6. Rigueur CRM
- Consigner appels, rencontres, signatures et notes dans le CRM en temps réel
- Maintenir un pipeline à jour et lisible pour la direction
Profil recherché

- Carbure au téléphone et au volume, ne craint pas le refus à répétition
- Résilient et à métabolisme rapide: encaisse un « non », passe au suivant sans s'effondrer
- Compétitif et motivé par la performance, mentalité sans plafond

- Chasseur dans l'âme: aime ouvrir des comptes plus que gérer des relations établies
- Autonome et à l'aise dans un environnement axé sur les résultats
Expérience
- Expérience en vente B2B, vente téléphonique ou développement des affaires (un atout majeur)
- Un historique de prospection à haut volume est un fort indicateur de succès
- L'expérience en recrutement n'est pas requise: on cherche un vendeur, pas un recruteur
Compétences
- Excellent au téléphone: capte l'attention vite, cadre la conversation, mène à la conclusion
- Aisance à qualifier et à disqualifier rapidement
- Français impeccable (l'anglais est un atout selon les comptes ciblés)
- À l'aise avec les outils technologiques (CRM, planificateur de rencontres, système d'appel)

Rémunération
100 % commission, sans plafond. Le revenu est directement lié à la performance: plus le/la Conseiller(ère) signe de nouveaux clients, plus il gagne. La performance annuelle se situe généralement entre 150 000 $ et 250 000 $, sans plafond. Les meilleurs performeurs vont au-delà.

Role summary
The Sales and Business Development Advisor is Kernel's growth engine. The mission: develop new client accounts for recruitment mandates. This person prospects, secures mandate intake meetings, and closes new service agreements in tandem with an Account Director. They open the doors, they sign new clients, then they keep hunting. They do not do recruiting: their playing field is business development and closing agreements.
Core responsibilities
1. Prospecting and account development
- Actively prospect new clients by phone with decision-makers (HR, directors, business owners)
- Identify companies with active recruitment needs
- Quickly qualify each prospect: real need, budget, decision-maker on the line, urgency
2. Securing mandate intake meetings
- Convert qualified conversations into meetings with an Account Director
- Schedule meetings and confirm them to limit no-shows
3. Closing agreements in tandem
- Lead the mandate intake meeting alongside the Account Director
- Bring the client to confirm the mandate and formalize the service agreement
- Deliver a professional close that reflects Kernel's premium positioning
4. Coordination and handoff
- Brief the Account Director before each meeting (client context, need, prior exchanges)
- Cleanly hand off the signed mandate to the recruitment team (role, expectations, urgency)
5. Follow-up and re-engagement
- Follow up on warm prospects and rescheduled meetings
- Manage their own follow-up pipeline so nothing slips through
6. CRM discipline
- Log calls, meetings, signatures, and notes in the CRM in real time
- Keep a clean, up-to-date pipeline that's readable for management
Candidate profile

- Recruitment experience is not required: we're looking for a salesperson, not a recruiter
Skills
- Excellent on the phone: grabs attention fast, frames the conversation, drives to the close
- Comfortable qualifying and disqualifying quickly
- Impeccable spoken English (French is an asset depending on the accounts targeted)
- Comfortable with technology (CRM, meeting scheduler, calling system)
What doesn't fit the role
- The relationship-oriented profile who dislikes volume and pace
- The person who needs a highly structured framework to perform

Compensation
100% commission, no ceiling. Income is directly tied to performance: the more clients the Advisor signs, the more they earn. Annual performance generally falls between $150,000 and $250,000, with no cap. Top performers go beyond.
