About the job

We are looking for Tutors across Canada

Canada-Wide (In-person in your local area)

Part-time | Flexible scheduling that fits around your schedule.

About Raise the Stars

Raise the Stars is CloudVital's latest edtech venture, born from the same mission to prepare students for a rapidly changing world.

The AI revolution is reshaping every industry and eliminating entire job categories. By 2035, nearly half of today's jobs will be transformed or gone. The students of today will graduate into a world that rewards creativity, judgment, and unbeatable human partnerships with AI.

Raise the Stars is closing that gap.

We are Canada's first in-person, at-home tutoring platform purpose-built to AI-proof the next generation. Our tutors - top university students, academically gifted individuals, recent graduates & niche professionals - travel within their own neighbourhoods to lead hands-on, project-based sessions directly in students' homes (no logistics or drop-offs for parents, who gain full firsthand insights into the courses). Every session is dynamic, face to face, and designed to build the kind of thinking no video can replicate.

Our Purpose: We believe the future requires the best of human - AI partnership for the next generation of professionals, who will excel at using AI to its highest capabilities and lead with critical thinking, creativity & moral clarity.

The Role

We are looking for passionate Tutors to lead small-group and one-on-one sessions in one or more of the following areas: Engineering, Computer Science, Arts, Health Sciences, Business, Music, etc. You will guide students through hands-on projects, foster curiosity, and make complex concepts exciting and accessible.

Our proprietary Learning Velocity (LV) algorithm continuously refines how tutors analyse student progress, so you're always working with students where you can make the greatest impact.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and deliver engaging, project-based sessions across one or more of our learning areas
  • Adapt instruction across ability levels (above grade level is our floor, not our ceiling)
  • Maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide session progress notes and communicate with the AI interface and Raise The Stars platform coordinators

Who We're Looking For

Required:

  • Background or experience in one or more of our learning areas (Engineering, Computer Science, Arts, Health Sciences, Business or related fields)
  • We welcome high school students, university students, recent graduates, and working professionals alike
  • Genuine enthusiasm for working with youth in Grades 5-12
  • Strong verbal communication skills and patience are expected of a mentor

Preferred:

  • Prior tutoring, teaching assistant, mentoring, or camp facilitation experience
  • Familiarity with Ontario (or provincial) curriculum standards, Grades 5-12
  • Hands-on project-based experience with robotics kits, coding platforms, drone systems, or related tools

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly compensation: $42 - $85/hr (varies by format: 1-1, Semi-Private, Group of 3-5)
  • Flexible scheduling that fits around your existing commitments
  • Meaningful, resumé-building experience in an impactful edTech platform
  • A collaborative team of professionals from top Canadian universities
  • Opportunity to grow with an early-stage education initiative and take on leadership roles

Location & Logistics

Sessions are delivered in-person at students' homes. Tutors are matched with students in their local area based on location preferences provided during the onboarding process.

Please note that a valid Police Clearance Certificate is required before classes can begin. This can be obtained online for most Canadian cities and provinces. Instructions for obtaining your certificate will be provided upon acceptance into the program.
