We are seeking dedicated K-12 Tutors to provide in-person and online academic support to students across various grade levels K-12 and for students upgrading high school grades in math.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to support K-12 and in upgrading university courses. We are looking for people across Calgary to add to our team

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for teaching, and experience working with children. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on students' educational journeys by providing personalized instruction in various subjects. The Tutor will work closely with students to reinforce learning concepts, develop study skills, and foster confidence in their abilities.

Duties

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to students' individual needs and learning styles
  • Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding core concepts across one or more subjects
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Foster a positive, encouraging environment that motivates students to engage actively in their learning process
  • Be a problem solver

Qualifications:

  • A strong academic standing (GPA) for high school students and university students
  • A former strong academic standing for graduates
  • Strong knowledge of academic subjects relevant to the tutoring focus
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively
  • Having access to a vehicle is preferred, but not needed
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education and helping students succeed
  • Have availability during diploma exams and finals in June
  • Have flexibility to work weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on student needs and scheduling requirements

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 20.0 per week
