Full job description

This job requires relocation to Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia). A relocation allowance up to $5000.00 is provided for successful candidates.

Only those currently living and eligible to work in Canada with current teaching certificates will be considered at this time.

Elementary Teacher: Tumbler Ridge Secondary School requires a 1.0 FTE TERM Teacher

Effective September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027

This position is for:

Earth Science 11, Careers 7-9, ADST 9, Digital Literacy 9, Physical Education 7/8

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of all students.
  • Develop a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of all students.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Maintain records of student progress and attendance.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, parent conferences, and other school-related activities.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, delivering instruction to students, assessing student progress, and providing feedback to parents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential. They should also be able to effectively manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
