Employment Type: Part-Time (In Person)
Compensation: $24/hour

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic High School Teacher to join our private school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Ontario secondary school students in Grades 9–12, delivering mandatory courses in a supportive and engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach mandatory Ontario secondary school courses for Grades 9–12.
  • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with the Ontario curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and academic records.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administration regarding student performance.
  • Participate in staff meetings and school activities as required.
  • Support students in achieving their academic goals and graduation requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Valid Ontario teaching certification (OCT) is preferred.
  • Experience teaching high school students (Grades 9–12).
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Secondary School Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to teach multiple subject areas is considered a strong asset.
  • Commitment to maintaining a professional and student-centered learning environment.
