Part-Time Elementary Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Our hours count! Gain valuable teaching experience! Oxford Learning Oakville North is seeking a dynamic and motivated part-time Elementary teacher/tutor who wants to make a difference in our students' lives. This is a meaningful opportunity for prospective or certified teachers to gain experience in their chosen fields, or for those who simply have a passion for teaching! Despite your pursuits, the challenges and rewards of this profession are truly life-changing-not only for our students, but our staff.

This is a FANTASTIC job for university students, or recent university/teacher graduates; it looks great on your resume, will help you hone your teaching skills, and will expose you to an amazing variety of students and teaching styles!

  • Comprehensive knowledge of current Grade 1-8 curriculum, particularly literacy and math

What will you do?

As a Elementary Teacher/Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating a fun and energetic learning environment on a daily basis
  • Committing to a dynamic and supportive working environment
  • Managing and motivating students with their learning
  • Documenting and relaying any specific student concerns or needs to centre management
  • Developing positive and professional relationships with your students and co-workers
  • Working with our proprietary curriculum, as well as students' school materials
