Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Security Systems Technician, where you'll play a vital role in designing, installing, and maintaining cutting-edge security solutions that protect assets and ensure safety. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from CCTV surveillance systems to low voltage wiring and access control setups. As a key contributor, you'll utilize your technical expertise to deliver reliable security infrastructure while continuously expanding your skills in a fast-paced environment. Your hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset will help us uphold the highest standards of security and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Install, troubleshoot, and service security systems including CCTV, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), access controls, and telecommunication networks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to accurately execute system layouts.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of low voltage wiring, sensors, and mechanical components.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure seamless integration of security systems into building infrastructure.
  • Perform routine inspections and testing of security equipment to ensure operational excellence.
  • Document all work performed through detailed reports, logs, and system documentation for future reference.

Skills

  • Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams related to security systems.
  • Strong electrical experience with knowledge of low voltage wiring and telecommunication cabling.
  • Mechanical knowledge for installing sensors, mechanical mounts, and other hardware components.
  • Experience with CCTV cameras, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and related security technologies.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware setup, networking principles, and configuring networked security devices.
  • Ability to operate hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wire strippers) and power tools safely in various environments.
  • Knowledge of schematics design and interpretation for complex security system layouts.
