Full job description

We are a family practice consisting of 4 family physicians and we are looking for a part-time Medical Office Assistant who is compassionate, self-directed, and detail-oriented to join and grow with our team. The successful candidate for this position is a team player who is efficient, hardworking, organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask and work well under pressure.

POSITION BRIEF: 1 PT Position (schedule will be for Wednesdays and Thursdays)

  • Previous experience working in a medical clinic is required (1 year minimum)
  • MOA certificate is required
  • We use MedAccess EMR

MOA RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES; BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Answering the phone
  • Calling patients to book appointments
  • Processing EMR messages
  • Patient handling when checking in, confirming/updating their contact information, scheduling appointments, and answering questions they may have
  • Processing medical equipment when patients' vitals are needed (height/length, weight, BP, urinalysis, etc.)
  • Processing mail, scans, and faxes
  • Cleaning exam rooms and preparing or stocking rooms with necessary supplies
  • Bringing patients into exam rooms

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MOA Certificate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well independently as well as in a team environment
  • Good working relationship with their colleagues, office manager and physicians
  • Friendly and professional towards patients
  • Ability to take initiative and multitask
  • Excellent organizational skills

Start Date: ASAP

Wage: $19-22- depending on experience
