Help Build One of Ontario's Next Great Private Mortgage Investment Companies
M12 Capital is a growing Mortgage Investment Corporation (MIC) dedicated to delivering attractive, risk-adjusted returns to accredited investors through a disciplined private mortgage lending strategy.
With approximately $20 million in assets under management and an ambitious growth plan, we are entering our next phase of expansion - and we're looking for an exceptional investment professional to help lead it.
This is more than a sales role, it is an opportunity to become a key member of our leadership team, work directly with the President & CEO, and play a significant role in growing one of Ontario's emerging private mortgage investment platforms.
If you're passionate about building trusted relationships, raising capital, and helping investors achieve their financial goals, we'd like to hear from you.
About M12 Capital
At M12 Capital, we believe successful investing begins with disciplined underwriting and exceptional client service.
Our investment philosophy is built on:
- Conservative underwriting
- Real estate secured investments
- Transparency and integrity
- Long-term investor relationships
- Disciplined risk management
- Responsive decision making
Unlike larger institutions, our investors have direct access to experienced decision-makers, allowing us to provide a personalized investment experience built on trust and accountability.
Why Join M12 Capital?
- Get in early on a private investment company built for fast growth
- Work directly with executive leadership
- Help shape the future of an expanding Mortgage Investment Corporation
- Comprehensive benefits package
- Three weeks paid vacation plus wellness days
- Technology and CRM tools provided
- Strong operational and underwriting support
- Significant opportunity for career growth and leadership
At M12 Capital, performance is recognized, initiative is rewarded, and every member of our team has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Vice President, Fund Sales & Investor Relations will lead M12 Capital's capital raising initiatives while cultivating long-term relationships with accredited investors and professional referral partners.
This is a senior relationship management role focused on education, credibility, and trust - not transactional sales.
The successful candidate will represent M12 Capital throughout Ontario, expand our professional referral network, and help accelerate the growth of our Mortgage Investment Corporation.
Your Primary Objective
Your primary responsibility is to grow Assets Under Management (AUM) by developing relationships with accredited investors and professional referral partners while delivering an exceptional investor experience.
Success will be measured by capital raised, investor retention, referral development, and the quality of your ongoing relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Capital Raising
- Develop relationships with accredited investors and high-net-worth individuals
- Present the M12 Capital investment strategy with confidence and professionalism
- Conduct investor meetings, portfolio reviews, and educational presentations
- Guide prospective investors through the subscription process
- Maintain an active and disciplined sales pipeline
- Convert qualified prospects into long-term investors
2. Professional Referral Development
Develop strategic referral relationships with:
- Investment Advisors & Portfolio Managers
- Financial Advisors
- CPA Firms
- Estate & Trust Lawyers
- Family Offices
- Commercial Real Estate Professionals
- Mortgage Brokers
- Business Owners
- Existing Investors and Centres of Influence
3. Investor Relations
Deliver an exceptional investor experience by:
- Building long-term client relationships
- Conducting regular investor review meetings
- Responding promptly to investor inquiries
- Coordinating investor onboarding and subscription documentation
4. Business Development
- Represent M12 Capital at networking events and industry conferences
- Identify strategic partnership opportunities
- Promote the M12 Capital brand throughout Ontario
- Work closely with executive leadership on fundraising initiatives
5. Sales Management & CRM
- Maintain accurate CRM records and meeting notes
- Prepare weekly pipeline reports and forecasts
- Ensure disciplined follow-up on every qualified opportunity
Qualifications:
We're seeking a proven investment professional with a strong track record of raising capital and building trusted client relationships.
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in investment sales, wealth management, exempt market products, private lending, or alternative investments
- Successful completion of the Exempt Market Products (EMP) Course or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
- Exceptional relationship-building and networking skills
- Strong presentation and communication abilities
- Consultative sales approach
- Highly organized with outstanding follow-up discipline
- Professional, ethical and client-focused
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout Ontario
Strong Assets:
- Experience raising capital for a Mortgage Investment Corporation (MIC), Exempt Market Dealer (EMD), private equity, private credit or alternative investment platform
- Existing network of accredited investors
- Established professional referral relationships
- Knowledge of private mortgage lending
- Experience presenting to investors and professional audiences
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, GoHighLevel or similar
The Ideal Candidate:
You enjoy building relationships that last - not simply closing transactions - and you're equally comfortable with entrepreneurs, financial advisors, lawyers, accountants and sophisticated investors. You earn trust through professionalism, integrity and follow-through, and you're disciplined in managing your pipeline and proactive in your communication.
If you're looking for a highly entrepreneurial environment where your contributions directly influence the company's growth, you'll thrive at M12 Capital.
Are you ready to help build one of Ontario's next great private mortgage investment companies? We'd love to hear from you.
Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and why you're interested in joining M12 Capital. Applications are accepted online only.
M12 Capital is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. Accommodation is available throughout the recruitment process upon request. We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Candidates will be required to undergo a background check as a condition of employment.
