SUPERINTENDENT - (Commercial Construction) - Jasper, AB

Are you an experienced construction professional looking to be part of a growing, forward-thinking organization? Heavy Metal Infrastructure is seeking an Intermediate Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team and help deliver high-quality commercial projects.

Heavy Metal Infrastructure is a progressive construction company operating under the umbrella of an established and forward-looking parent organization, Heavy Metal Equipment & Rentals.

Our team is made up of dedicated Project Managers, a General Manager, and an estimating group with a combined 50+ years of industry experience.

Position Overview

The Superintendent will play a key role in managing and coordinating field operations on commercial construction projects, with a preference for those experienced in high-end hotel builds and fast-tracked schedules.

  • Rotation: 10-on/4-off
  • Hours per Shift: 10

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise daily construction activities on site
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, owner groups, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered successfully
  • Maintain strong communication across all project stakeholders
  • Assist in schedule tracking, updates, and adherence to timelines
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications fluently
  • Foster a team-oriented environment while taking direction from the Project Management team and Senior Superintendent
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial construction
  • Experience with fast-tracked projects is highly preferred
  • Background in high-end hotel construction is an asset
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively with teams, consultants, and trades
  • Proficient in interpreting drawings and tracking project schedules
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support overall project success

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly wage: $49 – $52 per hour - Based on experience
  • Overtime pay - Available
  • Accommodation - Provided
  • Travel to and from the site - Covered
  • Living Out Allowance (LOA): $70/day
