Overview

We are seeking experienced Equipment Operators to join our team at Yukon Gold Mining. This role involves operating a variety of heavy machinery essential for mining operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision in a dynamic environment. Candidates with a strong background in heavy equipment operation and construction experience are encouraged to apply. The position offers an opportunity to work with industry-leading equipment and contribute to successful mining projects in Yukon.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and paving equipment to support mining activities.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Assist with horizontal drilling operations and other construction-related tasks as needed.
  • Manage material movement efficiently across the site, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope.

Skills

  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery, dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and paving equipment.
  • Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and minor repairs of heavy machinery.
  • Commercial driving experience preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
  • Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques and construction site operations.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation in mining environments.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and operate machinery for extended periods.
  • Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding project workflows and site safety standards.
