Full job description

The Technical Sales Representative (New Equipment), reporting to the Sales Manager, works closely with customers and mechanical engineers to grow and promote the sale of CANNEPP products and services. As the first line of contact with all new and existing customers, Technical Sales Representatives establish and build strong long-lasting relationships with clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Project Management

  • Develop proposals and quotes based on client needs, project specifications and product offerings.
  • Estimate costs of procuring new equipment.
  • Review and understand project specifications identifying sales opportunities and potential risks.
  • Review and understand terms and conditions (T&C) issued with a customer Purchase Order (PO). Work with Sales Manager to accept and exclude T&C in accordance with CANNEPP standards and best business practices.
  • Coordinate with Sales Administration to prepare and administer sales contracts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve project issues as required.
  • Communicate with clients to understand and anticipate their needs and find solutions offered by CANNEPP products and services.
  • Respond to client requests by staying knowledgeable about CANNEPP products and services.
  • Prepare professional and timely responses to client inquiries for quotations and requests.
  • Collaborate with internal departments during different phases of the project.
  • Oversee new equipment sales from tender to start-up (including customer payment).
  • Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support.

Product Promotion and Generating New Sales

  • Source and prospect new clients, conducting sales calls to present CANNEPP products and services.
  • Identify and work closely with service contractors, engineers, property developers, and other potential sources to promote product lines.
  • Coordinate and host lunch-and-learns to promote CANNEPP products and generate customer interest.
  • Work with engineers to get CANNEPP product specified into upcoming projects.
  • Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client needs.
  • Act as a client advocate and provide feedback to the company on specific client needs, the competition and technological advancement among other valuable information.

Training and Professional Development

  • Complete training programs available through CANNEPP represented manufacturers as directed by manager.
  • Build relationships with CANNEPP represented manufacturers understanding their internal structure and knowing who to contact for different inquiries and support.

General Administration and Other

  • Actively utilize and update company Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
  • General office administration duties.
  • Such other duties and responsibilities as assigned by respective manager.

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
