About Ironclad Equipment Centre
Ironclad Equipment Centre is an Oakville-based heavy equipment remarketing and dealership operation specializing in transport trucks, trailers, and construction equipment — including excavators, dozers, skid steers, loaders, and other yellow iron. We work with lenders, financial institutions, and private sellers to acquire, assess, and resell commercial assets across Canada.
We are a small, entrepreneurial operation and we are growing. We are looking for the right person to grow with us.
The Role
This is a hands-on, multi-faceted position for someone who knows equipment, can assess it accurately, and can sell it confidently. You will be working directly with transport trucks, trailers, and construction equipment — inspecting incoming units, researching market values, preparing listings, and closing sales.
If you have worked at a truck dealership, equipment auction, repo yard, fleet operation, or rental house and you are looking for something with more ownership and real upside, this role was built for you.
What You Will Do
- Conduct detailed condition inspections on transport trucks, trailers, excavators, dozers, skid steers, and other heavy equipment
- Research and establish market values using Ritchie Bros., IronPlanet, MachineryTrader, TruckPaper, Truck Paper, and live auction comparables
- Photograph and document all incoming inventory to a professional standard
- Prepare condition reports for lender and institutional clients
- Create and manage listings across multiple sales platforms
- Handle buyer inquiries, coordinate viewings, and close deals
- Perform light-duty mechanical checks and basic preparation work — fluid levels, battery service, minor deficiencies — to get units sale-ready
- Coordinate inbound and outbound transport logistics
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with general yard operations
Who You Are
- You have hands-on experience with transport trucks, trailers, or construction equipment — dealership, auction, fleet, repo, or rental background preferred
- You can identify mechanical issues, assess overall condition accurately, and estimate what repairs will cost
- You know how to research market values and you understand what moves equipment and what doesn't
- You are comfortable dealing with buyers, lenders, and transport companies — professional, direct, and confident
- You do not need to be managed closely — you assess what needs to be done and you do it
- Valid Ontario G licence required; DZ, AZ, or equipment operator certification a strong asset
- Physically capable and comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
Compensation
Base salary plus commission on units sold. Your earning potential scales directly with your output. This is a ground-floor opportunity with a growing operation — the right person will have real upside as inventory volume builds.
To Apply
Send your resume and a brief note about your background to sales@ironcladequipment.ca
No agencies please. All serious applicants will receive a response.
