    • Proven experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy trucks and or Trailers.
    • 4 x 10 hr shifts.
    • 3 weeks working Monday–Wednesday (12 hour shifts).
    • 3 weeks working Thursday–Saturday (12 hour shifts).
    • $2/hour differential for CVIP license.
    • Greasing heavy equipment: 3 years (required).
    • Fuel and Lube (construction heavy equipment): 3 years (required).
    • Heavy equipment knowledge: 2 years (required).
    • Diagnose and repair heavy haul trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.
    • Helping out with pick up trucks and heavy equipment as necessary.

Sharp Trucking Services / Contrans Tank Group is looking for a motivated Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic (Tractor/Trailer) to join our Edmonton team.

What You’ll Do

As an Journeyman Mechanic, you’ll work to ensure our trucks and trailers are safe, reliable, and road ready.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining equipment to the highest standards to ensure optimal performance and uptime
  • Inspecting and testing engines, transmissions, axles, brake systems, and other components to diagnose faults
  • Repairing and replacing parts on commercial transport truck systems including:
  • Chassis, frame, cab, body
  • Engine and drivetrain
  • Air brakes, steering, fuel, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems
  • Servicing truck-trailer and trailer systems including structural, brake, and electrical systems
  • Following all quality, health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Keeping the shop clean, organized, and efficient
  • Assist with mobile tank cleaning division
  • Other duties as assigned
