Heavy‑Duty Equipment Mechanic

Location: Chilliwack, BC (43779 Progress Way)
Full‑Time | Shop & Field

Frontline Machinery is a fast‑growing, family‑owned heavy equipment dealership supporting customers across BC to Ontario, including the Yukon and NWT. We specialize in aggregate crushing & screening, wood grinding, and waste shredding.

We’re looking for a Heavy‑Duty Equipment Mechanic who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and understands the importance of uptime, safety, and doing things the right way.

What You’ll Do

  • Service, diagnose, repair, and maintain crushers, screeners, conveyors, shredders, and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electric‑over‑hydraulic systems
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
  • Accurately document work completed using electronic work orders
  • Work safely and efficiently with a strong sense of urgency
  • Support both customer‑owned and Frontline‑owned equipment
  • Work indoors and outdoors; occasional weekend work required

What We’re Looking For

  • Licensed Heavy‑Duty Equipment Technician, Journeyman, Apprentice, or equivalent trade designation
  • 3+ years of heavy equipment mechanic experience (aggregate equipment is a strong asset)
  • Experience with hydraulics, welding, and electrical diagnostics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the physical demands of the trade
  • Comfortable using tablets or mobile devices for service documentation
  • Team‑first mindset, positive attitude, and strong communication skills
  • Honest, dependable, adaptable, and eager to learn new equipment and technologies
