Full job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on skills in servicing and repairing excavators, wheel loaders, and forklifts, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy machinery including excavators, wheel loaders, and forklifts
  • Communicate with customers to understand and resolve equipment issues
  • Occasionally perform on-site service calls
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Valid certifications preferred, such as:
  • Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certificate
  • Forklift Mechanic License or Equivalent
  • Red Seal Certification (if applicable)
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively
  • ⁠Perform high-quality machine preparation prior to customer delivery by conducting thorough Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment for the storage of machines and parts.
  • Regularly perform inventory checks and maintain accurate records of all machines and equipment.
  • Own a reliable personal vehicle and be available to travel off-site to customer job sites to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
