Job Overview

e are seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support our Pharmacy team. This is a full-time, 1 year term. The incumbent must be available to work pharmacy hours, 8am to 9pm Monday to Sunday.

Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • To be available to work pharmacy hours
  • To confirm accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling
  • Data entry of patient information into system
  • Third party adjudication
  • Accurate filling of prescription medications including compounding and compliance packaging
  • Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems
  • Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required in the Pharmacy
  • Use medical terminology accurately when documenting and communicating with healthcare professionals
  • Ensure the pharmacy area remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate effective patient care delivery

Requirements

  • Must have excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Previous experience as Pharmacy Assistant preferred but not required
  • Attention to detail, team player
  • Proficient computer/data entry skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols
  • Relevant certifications or training in pharmacy assistance or related fields are advantageous
