Administrative Professional (Full-Time)

Compassionate Connections – Lunenburg, Nova Scotia

Compassionate Connections is a growing interdisciplinary private practice dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our team includes psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals who work collaboratively to support the wellbeing of our community.

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and highly professional Administrative Professional to join our team full-time. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, enjoys helping people, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and efficient client experience.

Position Details

  • Full-time: Monday to Friday (5 days per week)
  • Location: Lunenburg, Nova Scotia
  • Salary: $24.00–$29.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
  • Benefits: Eligibility for health benefits and pension plan following successful completion of the probationary period

What You'll Do

  • Welcome clients and create a warm, professional first impression
  • Answer phones, emails, and client inquiries
  • Schedule appointments across multiple clinicians and disciplines
  • Manage electronic medical records and client files while maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Process payments, invoices, and insurance documentation
  • Coordinate communication between clinicians, clients, and external healthcare providers
  • Support the day-to-day operations of our busy interdisciplinary practice
  • Assist with administrative projects and office organization as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Previous administrative or medical office experience (healthcare experience is considered an asset)
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and comfort learning new software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • A positive attitude and a collaborative approach to teamwork
