Full job description

We are a busy, patient-centered optometry practice in Midtown seeking a full-time Receptionist/Optometric Assistant. Our ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk Duties

  • Greet and check in patients
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Maintain and organize patient records
  • Manage administrative tasks, including maintaining exam rooms and inventory

Technician Duties

  • Measure intraocular pressure (tonometry)
  • Perform autorefraction and pachymetry
  • Administer eye drops for anesthesia/dilation
  • Conduct diagnostic tests such as visual fields and OCT
  • Input Data into EMR
  • Assist with other clinical tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in eye care is required
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently as part of a team
  • Ability to use Optosys is an assset
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Proficient with computers and basic office software
  • Willingness to learn and receive in-person training

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.60-$21.00 per hour
