Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Part-Time Medical Secretary to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing administrative support within a busy medical office, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent patient service. The ideal candidate will possess strong office experience, familiarity with Accuro EMR, and excellent communication skills to handle front desk responsibilities efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where attention to detail and confidentiality are paramount.

Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, creating a welcoming environment
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient flow
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records using Accuro with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Verify patient information, insurance details, and process billing or payments as needed
  • Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations in accordance with office protocols
  • Prepare and organize documentation for patient visits, including intake forms and medical histories
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure efficient clinic operations
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, copying, and managing correspondence

Experience

  • Prior experience as medical secretary is highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Accuro is a must
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical office procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in office administration, including managing multi-line phone systems and front desk duties
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment is advantageous
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively
  • Preferably Milton, Oakville , Burlingtom and west Mississauga residents

Pay: $18.10-$20.00 per hour
