What You'll Do
As a Health Care Aide, you'll play an important role in supporting residents with their daily care while helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting residents with personal care and activities of daily living
- Supporting meal service, light housekeeping, laundry, and hospitality services
- Assisting with recreational and leisure activities
- Supporting medication assistance programs as outlined in care plans
- Monitoring and reporting changes in resident condition
- Contributing to individualized care plans
- Maintaining accurate documentation
- Participating in ongoing education and professional development
What You'll Bring
- Registration with the CLHA as a Health Care Aide
- Current immunizations, including a TB test within the past year
- Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past 12 months
- Compassionate, respectful, and professional approach to resident care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
