Our Client: Central West Specialized Developmental Services (CWSDS) is a human-services non-profit organization, providing a wide range of residential and non-residential services for individuals with developmental disabilities and complex needs.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

This position provides day-to-day oversight of Children’s Treatment Program and Respite programs (all ages). This position monitors team adherence to individual support and person-centred care plans. This position administers and monitors staffing and staffing issues and implements solutions to improve services. This position also ensures residences are clean and safe, identifies and mitigates potential risks and liabilities, and develops contingency plans and drills for unexpected events and disasters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide day to day support and leadership to team and ensure the delivery of high-quality service delivery across the programs.
• Oversee and support the caseload management of the program for efficient service delivery.
• Oversee, develop, and implement services adaptable to the changing needs of the persons supported, including effectively communicating with staff, colleagues, outside agencies, supported persons and their families.
• Manage and monitor scheduling, hours of work, vacation requests, leaves, and performance of staff, provide continual feedback and support and follow established processes for addressing the performance of unionized staff. Lead orientation of new staff as may be required.
• Monitor and administer the departmental annual budget, ensuring the proper allocation of resources, identifying program needs, and factoring in planned changes on service delivery.
• Ensure adherence to individual support and person-centered plans for clients supported within the programs.
• Implement change initiatives and provide direction and support to staff within the department.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, regulations and requirements
• Oversee and ensure residences are clean, safe, and in good repair, and report and work with maintenance to ensure problems are reported and addressed on a timely basis.
• Working with the Director, identify, plan for, and address potential risks, liabilities, and issues to facilitate the resolution of workplace issues.
• Develop and maintain contingency plans and drills for unexpected events or disasters.
• Act as the hiring manager for the recruitment and selection of staff; work with human resources on all aspects of hiring including job postings, shortlisting, interviews, orientation, and onboarding.
• Develop and maintain strategic and positive relationships with departments and programs within CWSDS.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to encourage information sharing and on-going team development.
• Teach new techniques, consistent with the needs of the persons supported.
• Participate in the on-call rotation for evening and weekend coverage.
• Lead and/or support implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS. SKILLS. CERTIFICATIONS.

• Registered with an applicable social services, mental health or healthcare professional regulatory body in Ontario in good standing (such as: College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario, Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, Ontario College of Social Workers, College of Nurses of Ontario).
• 5-7 years of progressive management and leadership experience in a health care, mental health, social services, or development service sector.
• Solid understanding of developmental disabilities, children’s treatment services, respite models, and person‑centred planning
• Experience supporting children, youth, and families with complex needs
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards (e.g., Child, Youth and Family Services Act, The Quality Standards Framework, Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act , Quality Assurance Measures Health Care Consent Act, PHIPA)
• Demonstrated ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams, including coaching, performance management, and staff development
• Experience managing staffing schedules, resolving staffing challenges, and supporting workforce planning
• Ability to lead teams through change, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience monitoring adherence to support plans, behaviour support strategies, and individualized care approaches
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and priorities
• Experience conducting quality assurance reviews or participating in accreditation processes
• Knowledge of health and safety standards, risk mitigation strategies, and emergency preparedness
• Experience developing or implementing contingency plans, drills, or emergency response procedures
• Ability to identify environmental risks and ensure safe, clean, and well‑maintained program spaces
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documentation, reporting, and family engagement
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with families, community partners, and internal teams
• Conflict resolution and problem‑solving skills, with a calm and steady approach in challenging situations
• Proficiency with case management systems, electronic documentation, and standard office software
• Experience with data tracking, reporting, and outcome measurement
• CPR/AED "Level C" Certificate a must
• First Aid/CPR Certificate a must
• Non-crisis intervention training is an asset.
• Valid G Class Driver's License a must

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $94,126.00-$113,000.00 per year
