TELUS Health Virtual Care (THVC)

Canada’s leading virtual care platform, THVC is a comprehensive on-demand mobile primary health care service that seamlessly integrates text, video, and pictures in one easy-to-use mobile experience. Our primary care team includes nurse practitioners who work closely with our multidisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive care that includes assessment, diagnoses, treatment and ongoing support.

As a Nurse Practitioner with TELUS Health Virtual Care you will:

  • Provide exceptional safe, high quality, evidence-informed primary care - through assessment, ordering diagnostic testing, prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies, and initiating specialist referrals
  • Follow up with patients when clinically appropriate to support continuity of care
  • Collaborate with other nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and in-house family physicians and psychiatrists to support patient care
  • Practice to full scope in a virtual environment by assessing, diagnosing, and treating episodic and chronic conditions while supporting patients through our platform, which includes secure messaging and video conferencing
  • Deliver episodic and longitudinal care
  • Provide regular patient follow up to promote health and educate on disease prevention and management

Requirements

  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) as a Nurse Practitioner (family/all ages/primary care) without restrictions
  • Practitioner ID (PracID) issued by Alberta Health Services for lab and diagnostic testing
  • 2-3 years of primary care experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the medical team and patients
  • Proficiency in technology-supported care
  • Commitment to provide comprehensive patient-centered care that focuses on exceptional patient experience and the best possible outcomes

Additional details

  • Scheduling: Flexible, evening : 2-4 pm, 4-6 pm, 6-8 pm, 8-10pm, 10pm-12am Mountain Time shifts available and overnight (on call) shifts needed, weekend : 6-8 am, 8-11 am, 11-2 pm, 2-4 pm, 4-6 pm, 6-8 pm, 8-10pm, 10pm-12am Mountain Time shifts available
  • Independent service provider contract
  • Recommended 10-12 hours per week
  • Nurse Practitioner must be located in Canada to access THVC clinical platforms
  • Remuneration based on experience as a licensed NP

Pay: $77.00-$87.00 per hour
