Full job description

Medical Office Assistant - Dr. Glick

Position Type: Part-time for 6-8 hours weekly - Wednesday and/or Thursday's are ideal

Reports To: Dr. Naomi Glick

Office Roles

  • Greet patients on-site, manage check-in/check-out, and maintain smooth in-person patient flow during clinic
  • Collect patient height, weight and blood pressure as part of patient check-in and document results in Accuro Cloud EHR
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient charts in Accuro Cloud EMR including scanning and filing external reports (labs, imaging, dialysis unit notes)
  • Coordinate in-person handoffs with patients regarding referrals, prescriptions, requisitions, and results
  • Support in-person patient communication and triage of walk-in or same-visit concerns

*** Note: Routine appointment scheduling, patient booking, and physician dictation/transcription are handled separately (by the remote staff member) ***

Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience in medical office administration or a similar ambulatory healthcare setting
  • Experience with electronic medical records; Accuro Cloud specifically is considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with multiple communication points
  • Comfortable communicating with physicians and office staff
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal MOA training or certificate
  • Prior experience in internal medicine, nephrology, endocrinology, or cardiology settings
  • Billing experience (e.g., MSP/billing reconciliation) is an asset but not required

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 8.0 per week
