Medical Aesthetician

As our Medical Aesthetician, you will play an integral role in delivering the exceptional experience Vita Med Spa is known for. We are seeking a skilled, knowledgeable, and client-focused professional who is passionate about skin health, advanced aesthetic treatments, and achieving outstanding results while building meaningful, long-term relationships with our clients.

The Role

As a Medical Aesthetician at Vita Med Spa, you will perform a variety of advanced skincare and aesthetic treatments, conduct comprehensive skin consultations, and develop customized treatment plans and home-care recommendations tailored to each client’s goals. You will work collaboratively with our clinical team, ensuring all services are delivered safely within your scope of practice while referring controlled acts to the appropriate regulated healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive skin assessments and consultations, recommending personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver professional treatments including facials, chemical peels, HydraFacial®-style treatments, microdermabrasion, LED light therapy, and other advanced skincare services.
• Perform advanced aesthetic procedures such as laser treatments, IPL, microneedling, radiofrequency (RF), and other technologies in accordance with your training, certification, and clinic protocols.
• Educate clients on skin health, treatment expectations, aftercare, and customized home-care routines.
• Recommend medical-grade skincare products and treatment packages that support client goals and contribute to overall clinic growth.
• Capture and organize before-and-after photos with client consent.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential client treatment records.
• Prepare, clean, disinfect, and maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and devices according to infection prevention and clinic standards.
• Monitor inventory levels for treatment products and supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse injectors, and other clinical team members to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, products, and industry best practices through ongoing education.
• Ensure all treatments remain within your professional scope of practice and refer controlled acts to regulated healthcare professionals when required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Medical Esthetics, Advanced Medical Esthetics, or Advanced Skincare from a recognized institution.
• 1–3+ years of experience in a medical spa, cosmetic clinic, dermatology, or plastic surgery practice is preferred.
• Certification and hands-on experience with laser technologies, IPL, microneedling, chemical peels, RF, or other advanced aesthetic modalities.
• Strong understanding of skin anatomy, skin conditions, treatment protocols, and contraindications.
• Exceptional communication, consultation, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence recommending treatment plans and medical-grade skincare products in a consultative manner.
• Professional, compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to client safety, privacy, and excellence.
• Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR), booking software, and standard computer applications.
• Passion for medical aesthetics and a commitment to continuous learning.

Considered an Asset

• Additional certifications on advanced aesthetic devices and technologies.
• Experience working alongside physicians or nurse injectors in a medical aesthetics environment.
• Experience creating social media content or participating in clinic marketing initiatives.
• Familiarity with aesthetic practice management or booking software.
