Full job description

Our family-wellness chiropractic clinic relies on the hard work of a team of assistants to work smoothly and effectively. The person awarded this job will earn a part-time position of 24-30 hours per week.

This position is integral in providing exceptional care to the individuals and families we serve, and getting them the results they deserve. This is an active reception role, which will require both reception work, and active assisting during patient care.

The best candidate will be energetic, have a passion for helping people, and have the attention to detail needed to keep a busy office on track, while providing exceptional service. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills are required, with both our patients and other team members. A positive attitude and outgoing personality are vital. This role is made up of many small tasks (patient communication, administrative duties of scheduling and payments, social media management, marketing and relationship management, client service, and clinical functions), and the effective execution of those tasks allows us to support both the success of our patients' care, and the depth of our relationship with them.

Exceptional performance in this role includes the ability to effectively and thoroughly communicate with patients of a diverse background via phone, text and email, manage appointment scheduling and payment processing efficiently and accurately, guide patients through their visits in our office through professional and compassionate communication, a positive and confident understanding of office procedures, execution of computer-based functional testing on patients, cleaning and tidying, managing the schedule for multiple health care providers, playing with children, distributing stickers and snacks, holding babies and playing with toddlers, caring about others, directing a high flow of people with a smile, accepting direction and constructive feedback from supervisors and peers, giving constructive feedback to other team members, helping with social media management, and committing to being a positive part of an effective team.

Qualifications:
- Initiative: ability to self-motivate, and strive to perform well in a team setting
- Computer literacy: Comfort in navigating multiple software systems in a paperless environment
- Customer service & hospitality: phone etiquette, written correspondence and in-person communication with patients and team members
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- The right personality and energy is better than the "right credentials" - we want someone who truly wants to help our team to help other people improve their lives, and isn't afraid of a bit of hustle to get the job done well. Degrees and certificates are trumped by the right attitude and the eagerness to learn and contribute.

Please submit cover letter and resume electronically, and PLEASE DO NOT drop off resumes in person, as we are focused on caring for our clients during business hours. Unfortunately, we cannot consider full-time students for this role.
