Full job description

We are looking for a fulltime nanny for a competitive salary of $90k plus benefits who has a Canadian Passport and can drive.

We are seeking a Nanny that can stay and grow with their family for many years. The ideal candidate will be organized, flexible, have a positive mindset, love children, enjoy planning, helpful traveller, great at tidying and managing the home.

We a creative couple (both entrepreneurs) with a 4 year old, 3 year old and 6 month old. The two oldest kids are at school during the day.

We would love to find a positive, hardworking, energetic Nanny who would also travel with us for added hours. This person would earn a premium for being highly capable, engaging and an excellent caretaker.

Schedule/Guaranteed Hours:
Fulltime with additional hours for travel and will generally be on call for evenings and weekends. The regular hours would be 6:30am-5pm Monday to Friday with one date night a week. Some weeks could have additional hours or weekend activities, while other weeks could be lighter. We typically travel 1 time a month in the fall and winter to fun, exciting destinations where we will require your care. Travel and weekend flexiblility will be required .

About the Family:
Professional, creative, eco minded and involved family in North Burlington is searching for a dedicated family nanny/travel nanny to support our family. Both parents work from home and are self-employed. There is a small dog (miniature poodle) in the home.

About the Travel Nanny role:
- Looking for a travel nanny who can take on more hours to assist our family during travel, We travel 1-2 times a month which we would require some of those weeks to be extra hours. Some of this travel can be last minute due to client's late bookings but we will give you as much notice as we get.

- All household duties are required including but not limited to picking up around the house, light housekeeping, tidying toys, organizational projects, and more. Household maintenance, errands, school drop off, grocery shopping, preparing health conscious meals & meal/snack prep.

- Hours would be weekday mornings in Burlington from 6:30-5pm with a few date nights/days a week/ends (we will give a break during the day on date nights)

- The nanny must be positive, hardworking, organized, efficient, reliable, trustworthy, kind, patient, helpful and celebrates a child's learning development & curiosity.

- Able to take on evening or weekend hours for date. nights or events

- Facilitating learning techniques, arts & crafts, games and play; helping to bring new fun & educational activities

- As child grows, will be looking for a tutor mindset to help our child learn and explore about the world

- Support for child activities like swimming, time spent in nature, driving to/from school/extracurriculars, etc.

- Pet care such as letting the dog out back, nature walks, feeding, etc. Occasional overnight care for our dog may be required while family is traveling if you are not attending the travel.

- All candidates must have 3-5 years of family assistant or nanny experience and a Canadian Passport

The Ideal Candidate: This family appreciates a calm, positive, flexible, healthy environment and is excited to find a candidate that fits well into our family dynamic. The family is looking for someone who handles direct communication style well and can reciprocate. A candidate who is self-starting and looks for ways to help out will thrive in this position! A can-do attitude and expert organizer are a must. This person will wear many hats at any given time and will need to be able to switch gears on a dime and smoothly transition to the next project, task, and challenge.
