Abcott Construction Ltd. is an established general contractor delivering high-quality commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects.

We are preparing for the future. Our long-standing Office Manager is planning to transition out of the role over the next two years. We are seeking a highly capable, detail-oriented administrative professional to join us as an Assistant Office Manager.

This is a unique 2-year mentorship and succession track. You will work side-by-side with our current manager to master our construction-specific operations, safety compliance tracks, and financial workflows.

Roadmap Goals

  • Learn daily construction office flows, project documentation, record keeping and manage incoming vendor inquiries.
  • Operational main stays including accounts payable/receivable, health and safety tracking, and Project Management support.
  • Co-manage processes like payroll administration and financial reporting.
  • Fully step into the Office Manager role.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day office coordination, including reception, accounts payable, mail, supplies and compliance documentation.
  • Process invoices, track project receipts, and assist with basic bookkeeping.
  • Support project managers with scheduling, health and safety and closeout packages.

Qualifications We Look For

  • Experience: 3–5 years of administrative experience, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and adaptable to construction accounting software.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills.
