Job Overview

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team! The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, helping create a warm and welcoming experience while supporting the daily operations of our practice. If you enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have previous dental office experience, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients with a friendly and positive attitude, and check them in efficiently.
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments as needed.
  • Answer a multi-line phone system, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software.
  • Verify insurance information and assist with billing and payment collection.
  • Explain financial policies in a clear and courteous manner.
  • Prepare and organize patient charts for upcoming appointments.
  • Assist with treatment scheduling and follow-up appointments.
  • Perform hygiene recall calls by reaching out to patients who are due or overdue for their regular hygiene visits and helping them schedule appointments.
  • Contact patients regarding outstanding treatment recommendations and follow-up care.
  • Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Support the dental team with a variety of front desk and administrative duties to help ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

  • Previous dental office experience is required.
  • Experience using dental practice software is required.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to help patients feel comfortable and cared for.
