Full job description

The short version

We're a men's health and performance clinic in Oakville, and we're looking for the person who becomes the first voice and first face of our business. If you're the kind of person who makes strangers feel like regulars, keeps a busy calendar running without breaking a sweat, and wants weekday hours in a workplace that's actually fun — keep reading.

Why you'll like working here

We change lives here — and you'll be part of it. Our patients come to us feeling like the best version of themselves is behind them. We give them back the energy, motivation, health, and happiness they thought were gone for good. You'll see the transformation up close — the guy who shuffled in tired and flat in month one is joking with you at the front desk by month three. You will make a real difference in people's lives.

Weekday hours that respect your life. Our core schedule is weekdays. Evening and weekend shifts are never required — but if you'd like them, they're an option. If you're coming from retail, hospitality, or a call centre, you know exactly why this matters.

Our patients are happy to be here. That's rare in healthcare. This isn't a waiting room full of sick, irritated people — it's a clinic built to feel more like a lounge. Sports on the TVs, snacks in the fridge, patients who are treated like VIPs and act like it. You're not managing a queue; you're hosting.

We actually have fun. We're a small, owner-operated team, and the day-to-day includes a lot of laughter and joking around. We take the work seriously and ourselves less so.

This role matters here. In most clinics, the front desk is treated as overhead. In ours, the patient experience is the product — it's the main reason patients choose us over telehealth apps and walk-in clinics. The person in this role isn't support staff; they're arguably the most important impression we make.

Small team, zero bureaucracy. You'll work directly with the owners and rest of the team, playing a key role in running the front desk, the calendar, and patient communications — and when you have a better way of doing something, we'll actually do it.

You'll learn things worth knowing. Men's health, hormone optimization, longevity and performance medicine — it's a genuinely interesting, fast-growing field. If you're curious about health and fitness, you'll pick up a lot just by being here. And we're growing (new practitioners, rising patient volume), so there's room for this role to grow with us.

What you'll do

  • Be the first hello — on the phone and at the door. Greet patients by name, make new patients feel at ease, and set the tone for their whole visit
  • Manage the calendar day to day: booking, rescheduling, and keeping things running smoothly for our clinical team
  • Coordinate prescription refills and follow-ups so nothing slips through the cracks
  • Help handle receipts, payments, and insurance paperwork accurately and ensure the right team member has the right information at the tight time
  • Keep patient communications warm, prompt, and professional across phone, text, and email
  • Be the calm centre when the phone is ringing, a patient is checking in, and a practitioner needs something — all at once

Who thrives in this role

Genuinely warm people. Our patients — mostly men in their 30s to 50s — sometimes walk in feeling a bit awkward about being here. The right person melts that in the first thirty seconds. Small talk about the game, the weekend, whatever — it comes naturally to you.

Organized people. You keep lists. You follow up. When you say something's handled, it's handled.

Level-headed people. Busy moments don't rattle you; you triage and keep smiling.

Discreet people. Men's health is personal. Patients trust us with sensitive stuff, and you treat that trust as sacred.

Experience in medical/dental reception, hospitality, or customer-facing roles is an asset — but we hire for the person, not the resume. If you've never worked in healthcare but people always tell you "you'd be great with customers," we want to hear from you.

Pay, hours & perks

  • $24/hour
  • 30–40 hours/week — your call. We can build the schedule around full-time or a solid part-time arrangement
  • Weekday clinic hours. Evening and weekend shifts are optional, never required
  • Our treatments, at our cost. Employees get access to our peptide therapies, vitamin shots, accelerated healing treatments, and Botox at cost — a perk you won't find at a dental office

How to apply

Send your resume along with a short note (3–4 sentences is plenty) telling us about a time you turned someone's bad day around — a customer, a patient, a guest, anyone. That note matters more to us than the resume does.

GameDay Men's Health West Oakville is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates and accommodate applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process.

Benefits:

  • Company events
  • On-site parking
