Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team! Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a positive first impression of the practice
  • Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls efficiently and professionally
  • Schedule appointments accurately using OSCAR electronic medical records systems
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verifying insurance information and updating records
  • Maintain organized medical files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Assist with administrative tasks including processing patient forms
  • Support clinical staff by preparing exam rooms and handling basic office duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a medical office environment is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately communicate with patients and staff
  • Familiarity with OSCAR EMR
  • Proven experience as a receptionist in medical office administration
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing records and schedules
  • Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism
  • Demonstrated office experience with proficiency in administrative tasks and front desk operations
