Program: Service Excellence & Innovation

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, flexible hours with an on-call rotation)

Status: Full-Time, Permanent (Non-Union)

Salary: $67,507 – $80,607

(Salary Steps: $67,507 | $69,532 | $71,618 | $73,767 | $75,980 | $78,259 | $80,607)

Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination required: Proof of a two-dose vaccine is required prior to orientation.

Our supervisory team ensures the seamless, high-quality delivery of client-directed care. The Supervisor, Support Services manages a complex needs caseload, co-designs care plans, and provides vital leadership, clinical guidance, and administrative oversight to our team of Personal Support Workers.

Our Supervisors provide services and leadership such as:

  • Client Care Coordination: Conducting needs assessments/reassessments (using InterRAI CHA and Alayacare), ongoing case management, and establishing Service and Tenancy Agreements.
  • Care Co-Design: Partnering directly with clients to co-design customized care plans based on assessed needs.
  • Team Leadership & Guidance: Providing ongoing clinical support, mentorship, orientation, education, and training to personal support workers.
  • Operational Management: Facilitating staff scheduling, managing payroll submissions/audits, and conducting performance management in line with collective and service agreements.
  • Quality & Safety: Managing complex caseloads, participating in group supervision, driving risk management, and ensuring continuous quality improvement.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Social Sciences, a Degree in Nursing, a Diploma/Degree in Practical Nursing, or a related field combined with relevant supervisory experience.
  • 3–5 years of PSW supervisory and management experience, preferably in a related community support service unionized environment.
  • Previous experience supporting the activities of daily living for adults with physical disabilities, seniors, and/or clients with mental health challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral, written, and clinical communication skills.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada. (Note: To maintain professional boundaries, successful candidates cannot have an immediate family member permanently assigned to the same physical location or report to an immediate family member as their supervisor).
