Full job description

Insight Accounting is a growing boutique firm providing fractional Controller and CFO services, along with full outsourced accounting and year-end support, to small and medium-sized businesses. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality work and building strong, long-term client relationships.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Junior Accountant to support our team. Thisrole is focused on assisting our accountants with day-to-day accounting tasks and helping ensure files are accurate, organized, and up to date.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in detail-oriented work, and is looking to build a strong foundation in accounting within a collaborative team environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with data entry and processing of accounts payable and receivable
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Support account reconciliations and working paper preparation
  • Help maintain organized and complete digital records
  • Assist with payroll processing and basic filings
  • Support month-end close processes
  • Work closely with senior staff to keep client files current and accurate

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (or relevant education)
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online or similar cloud-based software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
