Full job description

POSITION SUMMARY
Strike is seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR professional for a maternity leave contract position. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Generalist provides support across a variety of Human Resources and administrative functions, with a strong focus on HRIS data integrity, employee records management, reporting, and HR program administration.

The successful candidate will support a culture of safety, professionalism, confidentiality, and collaboration while delivering accurate and timely HR support across the organization.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process and maintain HRIS/CMIC employee transactions and records
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle activities including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, and terminations
  • Prepare employment letters, new hire documentation, and personnel files
  • Support compensation administration, surveys, and reporting
  • Coordinate hiring requests, vacation tracking, incentive programs, and disability administration
  • Maintain benefits administration and liaise with benefit providers
  • Build reports, organizational charts, and maintain HR SharePoint content
  • Support management development initiatives and other HR programs

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems; CMIC experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
