With headquarters north of Barrie and operating in the greater Simcoe County area, the successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of equipment within the Simcoe County area and the Grey County area.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment using diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Responsible for inspecting and performing troubleshooting on diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Operate and test equipment on site and in field to ensure quality and efficiency standards
• Perform major repairs to engines, electrical and fuel systems when required
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules to ensure service intervals are met and completed correctly
• Conduct oil changes, lubrication, and teardown of equipment
• Ensure entering of work orders and replacement parts are ordered in a timely manner
• Work in the shop with the potential of working in the field on job sites
• Create and maintain a timely and detailed service report and repair reports
• Provide exceptional quality work in a timely fashion

Knowledge, skills and abilities

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role (Construction industry preferred)
• 310T license required
• Ability to travel locally to job sites
• Must possess your own tools
• Possesses a valid and up to date driver’s license (G licence required, D license would be considered an asset)
• Understands how to engage with internal and external clients in a customer centric way
• Strong attention to detail with ability to produce accurate and quality work under tight deadlines and minimal supervision
• Well organized and able to work accurately and effectively under pressure
• Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
