STRABAG Inc. is a subsidiary of STRABAG SE, a European based technology group for construction services. STRABAG Inc. has extensive experience in large scale underground hard and soft ground construction projects. We provide expertise in ground engineering and tunnel excavation with qualified personnel.STRABAG is actively seeking an Head of Procurement & Supply Chain for our Canadian division where he/she can utilize their experience to contribute to the continued success and growth of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with the procurement team and senior management to support the business in line with strategic planning
- Sets out the overarching vision and strategy for Procurement within STRABAG INC.
- Collaborates with suppliers/subcontractors, the procurement team, other departments, and senior management to reach business objectivesLeads the procurement during tendering and estimation of new projects
- Develops and fosters solid business relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure a strong pipeline of construction-related suppliers and subcontractors.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and expertise by defining, implementing, and monitoring procurement resources, guidelines, and procedures for the procurement department
- Regularly participates in senior management meetings to represent the procurement function
- Represents the business for all STRABAG group wide procurement related topics
- Reviews and approves purchasing documents (i.e. Purchase Orders, equipment rental / lease agreements / service agreement, subcontracts) prior to issue
- Provides support and know-how for inventory management on the project sites
- Provides support and know-how for any procurement related topics on the project sites
- Develops and maintains overarching frame agreements for STRABAG Inc
- Leads the procurement of the company’s vehicle fleet
- Supports the recruitment of new procurement personnel within the business
- Trains and coaches all staff within the department for future growth and development opportunities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
