Job Description


A Day in the Life:

FOREST NURSERY WORKER, LIFT (Harvest)

We are currently seeking to fill an existing vacancy on our team.

PRT Quesnel is looking for seasonal Forest Nursery Workers to help with our upcoming tree seedling harvest. If you want a physical, fast-paced job that makes a positive environmental impact, this is for you! You'll be lifting tree seedlings for reforestation across North America. No specific work experience is needed – we'll provide full training.

Your Role & What You'll Do

You'll work as part of a supportive team under the guidance of a Nursery Manager. Your main duties will involve:

  • Lifting tree seedlings in greenhouses.
  • Learning about forest nursery activities.
  • Working independently and efficiently.
  • Committing to quality and safety in a safe work environment.


**Please note, this role is not eligible for relocation or accommodation support.


Qualifications


Enough about us, let’s talk about you:

What YOU bring to the table

  • Reliable transportation to get to the PRT Quesnel site daily
  • Interested in and able to work in all types of outdoor environmental conditions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout an 8-hour work shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs repeatedly through the entire shift.
  • Appropriate work attire.
  • Good manual dexterity and eyesight.
  • A team-oriented personality with a positive attitude.
  • A desire to learn and contribute to forest regeneration.

Start Date: Aiming for week of June 25, 2026

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary information: $18.25/hour transitioning to piecework with greater earning potential
