Full job description

Summer is flying by and students will soon be going back to school. The Harrison Park Inn is currently looking for help filling some hosting and takeout window attendant positions for the rest of summer and going into the fall. We are looking for help filling day time and evening hosting and takeout window attendant shifts. The restaurant is currently open 7 days a week 9am-9pm. Morning shifts could start as early as 9:00am and afternoon shifts could run as late as 9:30pm. Most shifts are approximately 5 hours with the possibility of some shifts running in the 7-8 hour range. Weekly hours range between 22-36 hours.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and seating customers in the dining room
  • Clearing/wiping tables
  • Maintaining a clean dining room and lobby
  • Taking orders at the takeout window
  • Handling cash and processing card payments
  • Answering the phone
  • Scooping ice cream
  • Handing orders out to customers
  • Performing side duties

Candidates must:

  • Be able to work quickly in a fast paced work environment
  • Be able to multitask
  • Be able to work both individually and on part of a team
  • Have attention to detail
  • Be able to learn from their mistakes
  • Take pride in their work
  • Be comfortable interacting with customers in a friendly manner
  • Have a general understanding of safe food handling practices
  • Be able to lift 30 pounds
  • Must have day time availability on week days
