We’re seeking a creative, resourceful, and forward-thinking individual to champion publishing initiatives for the Harlequin Brand. In this role, you’ll collaborate with editorial teams, direct reports, art directors and brand marketers to dream up and deliver bold new strategies that bring our stories to life, within our category romance lines and beyond. From crafting speed-to-market ideas that tap into the latest entertainment trends to reimagining processes for greater efficiency, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation—always ready to pivot, adapt, and seize new opportunities.
You’re a natural at staying organized and meeting deadlines, with exceptional project management skills and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams toward shared goals. Your strategic mindset and insatiable curiosity drive you to uncover the “why” behind every challenge, inspiring collaboration and sparking solutions that make an impact. And your passion? It’s downright contagious. You’ll rally excitement across departments, championing how your publishing initiatives elevate Harlequin’s brand awareness, equity, and sales in North America.
Qualifications:
The Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of experience in product management, marketing, or a related role, with a proven ability to translate data-driven insights into impactful strategies.
- A post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (an asset).
- A creative and innovative mindset, unafraid to challenge the status quo, with a strong drive for results and exceptional communication skills to inspire and align cross-functional teams.
- Analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and complex timelines seamlessly.
- A passion for staying ahead of emerging content, market trends, and competitive activities, with a knack for turning insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience leading and collaborating within highly cross-functional teams, fostering alignment across editorial, marketing, and art functions.
- A track record of successfully managing a product portfolio, with a focus on sales analysis, post-mortems, and strategic pivots to meet imprint, line, and business objectives.
- The ability to influence without formal authority, nurturing strong professional relationships and driving alignment across stakeholders.
- Strong people management skills, with a talent for coaching, providing feedback, and developing team members to achieve their full potential.
- A deep understanding of audience behavior and definition, including how to identify, reach, and engage specific audiences across formats and subgenres.
- Proficiency with Office 365 and a comfort with leveraging tools and data to inform decision-making and strategy.
About HarperCollins Canada and Harlequin
The salary range for this position is $74,000-$90,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
