Full job description

Arianna Restaurant, the Italian-American sister restaurant to Harbour 60, is seeking a Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. This is a full-time position for a motivated and organized professional looking to grow within a high-standard, service-driven kitchen.

About the Role

The Executive Sous Chef will play a key role in daily kitchen operations, supporting the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine while helping lead a small team. This position requires strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to perform consistently in a fast-paced service environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and oversee daily mise en place
  • Assist with ordering, inventory, and pars
  • Maintain and uphold culinary and sanitation standards
  • Manage and mentor a small team, leading by example
  • Call the pass during service to ensure quality, timing, and consistency
  • Support menu execution and continuous improvement
  • Be open to feedback and contribute positively to kitchen culture

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role ( Sous Chef, or equivalent)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Background in banqueting and large event service a plus
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and focused during service
  • Open, professional attitude toward feedback and development
  • Passion for Italian-American cuisine and hospitality
